Additionally if any part of it is 'lost' in translation then truth cannot be had since it can only be attained through a COMPLETE and ACCURATE rendering of all that was said. This is why we are called to rely TOTALLY on the spirit of God for truth. I maintain that the 'scriptures' spoken of by Paul were in reference to the OT. I was always conflicted by this verse, not because I felt it opposed my belief in universal reconciliation, but that Christians always used it as 'proof' of their position. I looked at this verse as yeah "for those who believes..." but eventually we will ALL believe. And of course this is true, if not in this age but the next. But now God shows me through you, another dimension, a further truth if you will, to this verse. Yes of course "for those who believe" but He CHOSE me to believe. I would never have found Him, He found me!
"You did not choose me, but I chose you..." Regarding Rom 1:20 you stated;

"the word translated 'eternal' in this verse is the word AIDIOS and it DOES MEAN ETERNAL in the English sense and is ONLY used in the bible TWICE"

I went and search for AIDIOS on Interlinear Scripture Analyzer and found that it means UNPERCEIVABLE or IMPERCEPTIBLE and not eternal as you teach. I'm not sure if you were also referring to Jud 1:6 as that is the second scripture that uses aidios.

Ju 1:6 Besides, messengers who keep not their own sovereignty, but leave their own habitation, He has kept in imperceptible [aidiois] bonds under gloom for the judging of the great day. CLV

If aidios means eternal in the English sense, can we translate the above verse as "...kept in eternal bonds"? That seems wrong to me.

Also Rom 1:20 makes perfect sense in the CLV.

Ro 1:20 For His invisible attributes are descried from the creation of the world, being apprehended by His achievements, besides His imperceptible [aidiois] power and divinity, for them to be defenseless,

I will appreciate if you could give me more light on this issue.

You can respond on.
0723003344@vodamail.co.zaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-759085108159648672.post-32320802033242531022011-08-23T03:40:13.270-04:002011-08-23T03:40:13.270-04:00That is so true Bertram. Since God allowed my eyes to see that I have no free will, I am experiencing an increasing peace and calm in every area of my life. I can honestly say I am not afraid of death, and I don't care what anyone says...if someone shoots me square in the face and it's not my time to go, then I won't die from it...and if it is my time, then no amount of intervention will save me. This makes some people very angry, because I apply this to the miracle of my daughter who was born three months early and was not expected to live. Others would have me praise the doctors and nurses with saving her life, and though I am grateful for their place in caring for my daughter who was in the hospital for 4 months, I know that her days are numbered by GOD!

Thank you for sharing your writing...:)MoxieBluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15301965756864873503noreply@blogger.com
